Introducing

My name is Michael and I am a retired chemistry teacher. Although I am originally from Canada I have lived in WA since 1992. My wife, Cherie, is Australian however she lived in Canada for twenty years and retired from marketing recently. We have participated in a number of exchanges within Australia as well as France and Canada. We are interested in exchanges any where in Australia and New Zealand or beyond as we love to travel.

About Our Home

Townhouse is in a complex of four. Ground floor is fully self contained with large bedroom, family rm, kitchen, dining room, bathroom and laundry. Second floor has main bedroom and ensuite as well as a large lounge room. The second bedroom on this level has king single bunks that can be separated. Third level has an office and large roof top deck. House would suit both an older couple or families. There is reverse cycle air conditioning on level 1 and 2 and outdoor entertaining areas on each level. Quality cycles and kayaks are included and a variety of estuary and ocean side cycle paths and walkways are everywhere.

Our Location

Mandurah is a popular holiday coastal city of about 80000 people and is located on a very large estuary as well as the Indian Ocean. It is 45 min south of Perth and is serviced by electric commuter train and freeway. It is also less than 2 hrs north of the Margaret River wine area. The home is centrally located overlooking the Mandurah Ocean Marina. There are at least 30 cafes, coffee shops, pubs and restaurants within an easy 10 min walk. The cinema, performing arts center, art gallery and a safe swimming beach in the Marina are about 100m away and it is a 10 min walk to a beautiful beach on the Indian Ocean. Numerous quality golf courses are also nearby. It is 3km to the train station and bikes are allowed onto the train in order to take advantage of the great cycle paths in Perth.
